You've been pickpocketed. While the Gulf of Mexico was transitioning to Gulf of America, you got stiffed.
First things first: I love capitalism—democracy, profit, working smarter (not harder), and earning things. America is, in many ways, a plutocracy—government by the wealthy. That isn’t always bad. But corporate dictatorship is malignant.
Come down the rabbit hole with me. Let’s look at the facts together.
Donald Trump just signed an executive order that guts independent agencies—the ones that stop fraud, regulate banks, and keep markets fair. This isn’t about ‘draining the swamp.’ It’s about making sure the people robbing you blind never face consequences.
Deregulate, Exploit, Indifferent
This executive order is DEI for corporations—Deregulate, Exploit, Indifferent. Strip the rules, squeeze every last dime, and don't think about the fallout.
He’s putting the snake in charge of the rabbit farm, stripping power from regulators and handing it to the very people who benefit from fewer rules. The agencies designed to protect consumers, small businesses, and fair competition? Trump just put them under his direct control—which means lobbyists, billionaires, and corporate cronies now have a shortcut to gut protections and rig the system in their favor.
And if you think this benefits you—go take a cold shower with all your clothes on, then take a good, hard, drippy ridiculous look in the mirror.
This is how corporations crush small businesses. This is how banks scam consumers. This is how billionaires rig the economy and get even richer while everyone else struggles.
Trump isn’t fighting for you. He’s making sure the people exploiting you get away with it.
“Well, Tough Sh*t, This is Business”
I think I’ve seen this film before.
“Well, tough sh*t, this is business. This is war. To the victor go the spoils.”
That’s the excuse they use every time they gut wages, kill competition, and strip away protections for working people. Every time Wall Street crashes the economy and gets bailed out while families lose their homes.
But that’s not what America is supposed to be. America is supposed to reward hard work, not corporate manipulation. It’s supposed to be a place where small businesses can thrive, not where billionaires pull the strings to make sure they always win.
Plutocracy isn’t always bad. Corporate dictatorship is corrosive.
Trump’s executive order erases independent oversight and consolidates power under his presidency. Independent agencies exist for a reason—to make sure corporate lobbyists and political hacks don’t call the shots. But now, every decision they make has to be cleared by the White House.
Congress created these agencies to make sure regulations were enforced fairly. Not based on political favors. Not based on which billionaire donor picks up the phone and is the last to advise the current President.
Who Wins? Who Gets Hosed?
The Winners:
Wall Street and big banks that want fewer rules.
Corporate monopolies that want to eliminate competition.
Lobbyists who now get to bypass regulators and go straight to the White House.
The Losers:
Small businesses trying to compete fairly.
Consumers who depend on fraud protections.
Workers whose job safety and financial security just got weaker.
U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said it best:
"This is about billionaires rigging the system to make sure they squeeze every last dime out of working people. We can’t let them win."
For nearly 15 years, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) forced banks and lenders to return over $21 billion to customers who got scammed.
Now? The CFPB’s independence is gone.
The same Wall Street giants that caused the 2008 financial crisis are lusting over this executive order. They want less scrutiny, fewer rules, and zero accountability.
This isn’t about efficiency. This isn’t about "restoring order".
This is corporate looting—plain and simple.
And if it doesn’t hit you now, it’ll cripple your investments as regulations start to erode and negligence becomes a celebrated cost-cutting measure.
Corruption on Sudafed
Instead of independent agencies keeping corporations in check, Trump is letting corporations control the agencies.
Corporations won’t have to follow the rules—they’ll write them.
Banks won’t be held accountable—they’ll set the standards.
Billionaires won’t be restrained—they’ll dictate policy.
This is exactly what they want: a system where they can do whatever they want without oversight. A system where money talks, rules are optional, and the people who get screwed have nowhere to turn.
This isn’t about making government more accountable. It’s about making corruption unstoppable.
If the courts uphold this, expect fewer protections for workers, small businesses, and consumers. Expect Wall Street to tighten its grip. Expect more monopolies, more fraud, and more "tough sh*t, this is business" excuses when regular people get crushed.
This isn’t capitalism.
This isn’t America.
This is corporate dictatorship.
You think there won’t be consequences? There will be! For you. Not them.
Without a watchdog to keep big business in check, get ready for the return of some classics:
Ford Pinto – Exploding gas tanks because it was cheaper to pay for wrongful death lawsuits than fix the design.
Asbestos & Talcum Powder – Industry knew for decades it was killing people and sold it anyway.
Boeing 737 MAX – Companies cutting corners until people start falling from the sky.
That’s what happens when corporations regulate themselves.
That’s what happens when oversight is replaced by political favors.
You Just Got Pickpocketed
This executive order doesn’t make government more efficient.
It makes corruption easier.
It makes fraud harder to stop.
And it makes the people screwing you over richer, while you get left holding the bag.
So, what are you going to do about it?
