Our first guest on This Entire Album Podcast is bestselling author, musician and filmmaker Jeff Alulis. He and host Brian Fishbach go track-by-track discussing what they love about the 1994 multi-platinum selling Green Day album "Dookie."
They cover the history of the album as well as the evolution of what the songs mean to society at large over the past 30 years.
Alulis co-authored the bestselling music memoir "NOFX: The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories" as well the autobiography of The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger, "Set The Night On Fire." He's also known for his award-winning documentary, "Do You Remember? 15 Years of the Bouncing Souls," and from his days as lead singer of the legendary punk band Dead Kennedys (then known as “Jeff Penalty”). Alulis is also the frontman of Lookout Records tribute band The Gilman Blacklist.
