Actress and Singer/Songwriter Shiah Luna talks“Jagged Little Pill” by Alanis Morissette on This Entire Album Podcast

Episode 3: Actress and singer/songwriter Shiah Luna —

“Jagged Little Pill” by Alanis Morissette

Singer-songwriter and actress Shiah Luna shares her love of Alanis Morissette’s 1995 album “Jagged Little Pill.” It’s an album that has kept Shiah moving forward when life took unexpected twists. And it’s been fruitful: in just the last year, Shiah recently on the NBC series “Found,” and also sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” in front of 19,000 rabid soccer fans at an Angel City FC game at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

She just released her latest single, also titled “Found,” which is a follow up to her 2023 release “Self Expression.” It’s a heartbreakingly beautiful song, which Shiah wrote at a time when she needed a new “personal anthem” about choosing to heal and being okay with the scars you accumulate along the way. Shortly after recording this episode, Shiah performed a concert at the Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles where she sang a cover of Alanis’ “Head Over Feet”—Brian was there, and said it ruled. She’s a talented guitarist and saxophonist. She has also been working on The Goodness Tour and the Reed Foundation which brings music and art therapy to anyone facing adversity. Shiah shares how she led music composition workshops at rehab centers and and even at a women’s prison in Ohio.
